Tips on How You Can Save Money this New Year
[DOWN]
[/DOWN]
We are about to welcome another year, and you are probably listing out your resolutions for this incoming year! However, unlike other years - it's time to be more cautious as the economy is slightly shaky and there are a lot more factors for you to consider changing for the next year.
That is why you should center your focus on the resolutions which will enable you to save money for the future. Here are eight tips on how you can save money for the New Year.
First off, add little more disbursements to your mortgage. This will allow you to save thousands for the New Year. Over the life loan, paying USD 100 additional in a month for a thirty-year USD 200,000 worth mortgage can save you up to USD 60,000, which can even be paid five years ahead of time.
The second tip is to minimize the debt on your credit cards. This is a bit self-explanatory. People tend to buy lots of unnecessary things when they feel they have cash on their hands - even in the form of a credit card.
Maintain a strict budget. It takes will power for you to be able to keep up with a tight budget - but why not consider doing it even for just a week? You might be able to assess on where all your money is going if you track your expenditures. With this, you would be able to find the fastest way to save money.
Next, enroll in the flexible healthcare spending plan provided by your employer. If you are able to chip in a certain sum of money in the plan, you can pay co-pay expenses, prescription costs and other with pre-tax cash.
Another tip is to put much effort in finding coupons and free stuffs on the market. You will save lots and lots of money because of this.
Also, why not start making small projects for your home to consume less energy? Try sealing up the doors with new weather stripping or add insulations to your attic.
Restaurants can be of great help at times, but they are very costly. It won't hurt to eat out once a week but to be able to save more, try experimenting with how to cook and quick, easy meals.
1. Cut your taxes. April will come sooner than you think...a really easy way to start earlier is to invest in a little help. If you feel like you can't afford a professional, at least a purchase some software that can help find savings for you. Tax Act and TurboTax both do a great job of pointing out opportunities to save money.
2. Review your Insurance Policies. Now is a great time to look at your homeowners, auto, and life insurance, and see if you need to make a change. You could check to see if you have too much coverage, consider combining your auto and home insurance, consider raising your deductible, or check out another money saving ideas for insurance.
3. Finally Quit Smoking. At around USD 4 a pack, a pack-a-day smoker would save USD 1460 in just one year. And, that's not counting the resulting discounts for life insurance, and better overall health. If you have no willpower, at least consider switching to a generic brand, and save yourself over USD 350 in a year's time.

easy ways to save money
1. The easiest way to save money rather than spending it is to make sure that that you never get a chance to spend the money in the first
2. Some debt is essentially unavoidable. For instance, only the very rich have enough money to buy a house in one lump sum payment, yet millions of people are
able to buy houses by taking out ***** and slowly paying them back.
3. Set yourself savings goals that are within your reach to motivate yourself to make the tough financial decisions needed to save responsibly.
4. To keep your financial progress on-track, try budgeting out your income at the beginning of each month.
