Spain lifted its fourth Davis Cup final in a decade with a 3-0 victory over Czech Republic. The doubles combo of team Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco defeated Czech pair of Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek in Saturday’s clash giving an impregnable 3-0 lead to the host country.

Verdasco and Lopez had a 7-6, 7-5, 6-2 victory to add to singles wins of Friday’s encounters for Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer.

Spain had claimed the Davis cup title for the third time in Argentina last year. Spain became the first nation since Sweden in 1998 to successfully defend the worldwide team competition.
