Shahid Afridi has requested Mohammad Yousuf to make a comeback into the Pakistan side despite having announced his retirement from the international cricket. Yousuf had retired from cricket after the Pakistani board banned him from playing cricket for Pakistan indefinitely.
Yousuf was one of the seven Pakistani players who were either banned or fined, and was the only Pakistani cricketer amongst those seven to not appeal against his ban. The other cricketers who were penalised were Younis Khan, Rana Naved, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal and Shahid Afridi.

Younis Khan had earlier threatened that he will take the PCB to the court if the ban was not over-ruled.
Afridi, who was made the captain of the Pakistani team in all the three formats of the game said that the Pakistani side needed the services of Yousuf on an important and arduous tour of England, where they will play Australia as well.
Yousuf confirmed this development but said that he will only play if his elders allowed him to play.
The interesting question that needs to be asked is how will he circumvent the PCB ban that became permanent when he failed to appeal against it within the stipulated time-frame.
