    Follow us on Social Media

To call him an Ďiconí would only give us a glimpse of a fraction of what he was. Jackson was a historic figure that the world over let into their lives, their language, their parties and their dance moves.

The tragedy of Jacksonís death at 50, reportedly from cardiac arrest, caps a career full of larger-than-life incidents. He was Wacko Jacko, the Moonwalker, the Man in the Mirror. He was Bad but not Dangerous. Off The Wall and yet the guy who most of us tried to emulate on the dancefloor when we were small. In the end, wipe away the three decades of plastic surgeries that deformed him, erratic behavior that made his name synonymous with the warping powers of fame and the child abuse trial, and what you have left is a child who never really grew up. The Peter Pan of Pop.

Hereís singers and musicians alike, many who wept when they heard of his sudden passing, mourn the loss of Michael Jackson.

    Ehsaan Noorani

Michael Jackson, please say hello from all of us to Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, John Coltrane, Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Rick Wright and to all those brilliant musicians like yourself who are attending that biggest jam session in the sky! Rock on!

    Louis Banks

The greatest pop icon of this century, Michael Jackson, lives on in everyoneís hearts, through his music. His songs and his great performances will be remembered for ever and ever.

    Sonu Nigam

Michael Jackson has become one with the Universe. Now the world will give him his due.

    Mika Singh

My inspiration, the real pop star, the God of Music, Michael Jackson is no more. May God bless his soul. Letís pray together for the King of Pop. We will miss him forever.

    Shankar Mahadevan

When you mention the word pop, the first name that comes to mind is Michael Jackson. It is the end of an era and we are unfortunate that we have missed the music that he had in his mind for his comeback album and tour. We all are greatly influenced by his work and his excellence as every piece of his music set up a new standards for us to study. God bless his soul.

    Sonali Rathod

I recall during his performance here, my husband was one of the opening singers before Michaelís act. I remember being totally awed by his performance and the magnitude of the stage. I had never seen something like that before. And I never will.

    Sulaiman Merchant

As a child, he was the biggest inspiration one could ever draw from. He was the only artiste who was appreciated by artistes of all genres. It is the greatest loss and setback to not only people from the music industry, but fans found in every corner of the planet. Michael Jacksonís music was universally loved and truly, he will always be the King of Pop.

    Sukhwinder Singh

Everybody talks about him as being a great dancer and performer but according to me, he was an extraordinary vocalist. I was so thrilled when I got to know that he was doing a concert after 12 years. He had the energy to bounce back even after going through a rough patch.

    Neha Bhasin

I was nine when I first heard and saw MJ. And ever since I was obsessed with live performers like him. The first song I ever sang was Black Or White. With him gone, itís like heís taken a piece of me away. But he and his music will live in my heart forever. Life has been unkind to him in his last days but I only remember the MJ I first laid my eyes on. Thereíll never be another.

    Adesh Srivastava

Itís sad and shocking. I had booked my ticket for the comeback concert in Londonís O2 arena. Iím very sad.

    Mukul Deora

Around five years ago I was in LA, at a producerís house. That producer knew Michael Jackson pretty well and I almost met him. Well, that will never be now. Iím going to let it play on with his music.

    Sophie Choudhry

I couldnít stop my tears when I heard the news. You cannot be a music lover and not be affected by this most tragic news. Michael Jacksonís music touched hearts, minds, souls and brought people from all walks of life together. Iím so privileged to have seen him perform live several times, to have seen him backstage and to have stepped into a studio where he worked on some of his last songs.

    Anushka Shankar

Iím as shocked as everyone else. Here in California, we got the news the minute he died. He has been one of the most influential figures in popular music ever, period. A lot of people let the controversies of recent years eclipse the sheer genius and artistry of the man, but today, in mourning, everyone is going back and looking at videos, hearing songs, and remembering how great he was. Pop music wouldnít be the same if Michael Jackson hadnít existed.

    Suneeta Rao

I am in complete shock. He indeed was one of the biggest influences in my life. In fact, he was the biggest influence in the history of music. All of us have tried to imitate his moonwalk; Iíve performed so many of his songs on stage. There will be no musician like him.

He was the ultimate icon of the music industry; Iím really shocked on hearing the news of his death. I still remember the time when MJ, Rahman and I performed at a concert. Though we couldnít meet him in close quarters, MJ loved the Ekam Satyam composition of Rahman. I still cherish that moment. But, MJ hasnít left us as his music will certainly live on...

Iím devastated. I feel as if one part of mine has gone. Itís very difficult to imagine a world without Jackson. I cantí talk anything more than this now as Iím really sad.
